Following the departure of Mailson Lima, Persib has once again acquired a new foreign striker.
The player in question is David da Silva, a 32-year-old Brazilian forward who has previously played for several clubs in Asia, including Pohang Steelers in South Korea and Terengganu FC in Malaysia.
Da Silva is known for his goal-scoring prowess, having netted 24 goals in 30 appearances for Terengganu FC last season. He is expected to provide a much-needed boost to Persib's attack, which has struggled to find the back of the net in recent matches.
Persib's coach, Robert Alberts, expressed his satisfaction with the signing of Da Silva, saying that he is a proven goalscorer who will add quality to the team.
Da Silva is expected to make his debut for Persib in the upcoming match against PSM Makassar on August 20, 2023.
